What is Reiki

Reiki is a gentle relaxation practice that supports your body’s natural ability to restore balance.

During a session, you rest comfortably while Reiki energy is offered through light hands-on or distance support. Unlike massage, there is no muscular manipulation involved.

Reiki works first by helping the body release tension and settle. From this physical relaxation, many people notice shifts emotionally, mentally, and energetically.

Sessions are often described as calming, comforting, and deeply restorative.

How Can Reiki Support You

Reiki offers gentle support physically, mentally, emotionally, energetically, and spiritually.

By helping the body settle and release tension, Reiki can create space for greater calm, balance, and ease.

Many people experience a sense of relaxation and steadiness that supports them in moving forward with more clarity.

Reiki is a supportive practice and works by helping your system return to its own natural state of balance.

At this time, all Reiki sessions are offered through distance sessions.

Distance Reiki is a gentle and effective way to receive support from the comfort of your own space.

Distance Reiki - How Does it Work

Reiki is not limited by physical proximity, and can be offered just as effectively through distance sessions.

Distance Reiki works through the intentional connection with universal life force energy, allowing support to be received wherever you are.

All sessions in my practice are currently offered online.

Preparing for Your Reiki Session

Before your session, I invite you to create a space where you can rest comfortably and without interruption.

This may include:

  • A quiet place where you won’t be disturbed
  • A comfortable surface to lie down or recline
  • Blankets or coverings to stay warm and cozy
  • Soft lighting
  • Gentle music, if you enjoy it

 

If music is supportive for your, I recommend playing your own so it feels familiar and comfortable.

Together, we create a space that allows your body to relax and receive.

Beginning the Reiki Session

At the start of each session, I gently guide you through a few slow, full breaths to help your system settle. 

From there, you are invited to allow your breathing to become natural and relaxed.

There is nothing you need to do during a Reiki session, simply rest and receive.

This time is an invitation to pause and be supported.

What to Expect from Your Reiki Session

During your Reiki session, you are invited to rest comfortably while the energy work is offered.

Some people notice physical sensations such as warmth, heaviness, tingling or gentle movement. Others experience emotional release, mental quiet or deep relaxation.

There is no right or expected way to experience Reiki. Each person’s experience is different. 

Each session meets you where you are.

Occasionally, intuitive insights may arise during a session. Before we begin, I’ll ask you if you would like to receive these messages if they come through.

Your role is simply to rest, there is nothing you need to do.

After Your Reiki Session

After a Reiki session, many people notice a sense of calm, lightness or clarity. 

You may feel deeply relaxed, energized, or simply more at ease.

Sometimes shifts continue to unfold over the hours or days that follow. 

We’ll take a few moments at the end of your session to gently check in and share anything that feels supportive.

You’re invited to move through the rest of your day with care and spaciousness, allowing your system time to integrate.

You don’t need to be in crisis to receive Reiki – it can also support you in maintaining balance and wellbeing.
